I’ve gotten some emails lately asking for more details on the projects I have in the works. I always have several things underway at once, and while I wont attempt to get into every little thing I’m doing, I thought it might be a good idea to introduce everyone to the larger things I currently have going on. I’ll be writing a few posts in the coming weeks going into more detail about them all, but for now, here’s a preview:
Ghostfinders (Movie)

I’ve written, directed and acted in a number of low-budget films and shorts throughout the years; my current project is a feature film that I wrote and directed called Ghostfinders. We wrapped principle photography in August of last year (2010) and are currently in post-production. It was an experiment in unconventional production techniques, and was shot in just 7 days with minimal cast and crew. I expect it to be released sometime in 2011. (more to come…)
The Man From 3015 (Novel)

When the last film I wrote, SIXGUN, was picked up by Lionsgate, I decided to take a long-overdue break from writing screenplays, so I took the idea I’d been developing for my next movie and turned it into a Chrichton-esque style thriller novel instead. (more to come…)
Solo project (Music)

After a several year-long hiatus from touring and playing music professionally, I’m playing publicly again – this time performing as a solo musician. I’m still ironing out a few small details, but I expect to start booking my first shows within the next couple of months (more to come…)
Masala Yatra (TV Series)

Last year, my good friend Chaya Rao invited me to work with her on a television series called Masala Yatra chronicling India’s rich culinary heritage. Not only did I have a great time and lots of great food, but I learned to cook it for myself. It’s still in development, and we’ll even be heading to India to continue the shoot! (more to come…)
Machu Picchu, Peru (Photo Shoot)

I’ll be heading off to see one of the 7 wonders of the world – the Peruvian national treasure, Machu Picchu. I’ll be there not only to sight-see, but to document an ambitious photography project, helmed by my good friend and collaborator, Eric Beggs. (more to come…)
I’m also still working on The Mobile Traveler and making some other travel plans (including a sojourn to this year’s Burning Man festival), so plenty of exciting things on the horizon! I’ll be posting a more detailed look at all of these projects in the coming weeks. Stay tuned…
